BUILD OR BID

Every project is unique.
Choosing the path to completion is critical

Assembling a multi-discipline design team made up of architects, consultants and MEP designers to create a coherent specification package for competitive bid - or - directly hiring a competent integrator to design and then supply your project are two very different paths to the same end. SAV is experienced and comfortable joining you on whichever path you choose.

Built or Bid
We have the resources
and experience

If you're not bound by policy a standard bid process, deciding which path to take can be a tricky one. We would be happy to discuss the advantages and disadvantages of each process as we work through the Consultiing phase of your project.

Bid Package Creation / Bid Oversight

If your project needs a competetive bid we will create the required deliverables including:

  • Specifications

  • System Narratives

  • Equipment lists

  • Bid Response Forms

Once the package is complete we can directly conduct and manage the bid or be your backup as you run the process. Once the numbers are in, we will evaluate & level the bids and provide our award recommendations

Contract Award / Construction Management

Once the project is awarded we will be your primary resource for managing the technology provider. We will attend construction meetings and track the progress of audio/AV procurement, installation and commissioning. Upon completion we will review and punchlist every system and provide oversite for training.

Equipment Procurement / System Fabrication

If your project has taken the DesignBuild road SAV will procure all the components and fabricate the systems. Sourcing a high caliber, complete systems is not as simple as ordering it online and having it arrive a week later with everything you need to put it together.  Connectors, components, and other parts can come from multiple manufacturers, and arrive by various modes of transport, with different ETA's. Sinclair AV is well practiced at keeping all these little details tidy and on-schedule.

System Installation

Once the racks are complete and tested and all of the equipment is staged onsite, installation can begin. Working in concert with the general contractor and the rest of the trades, SAV will seemlessly install all systems as required by the project schedule or phasing.

Programming & Equalization

As each system comes online, our highly experienced programmers breath life into each system by loading and testing the DSP programming that makes it all happen. If audio equalization and room tuning are required, our team will make sure system performance perfectly matches each acoustical space.

Note that all of this great programming expertise and experience is also available as a standalone resource if your existing system is underperforming or your new system doesn't seem to have been commissioned just right.

Project Managment

At the heart of any successful project is an experienced project manager or project principal. The SAV team includes members that have been responsible for managing some of the largest projects in NYC with technology budgets topping $350m
